There is a Buddhist saying: 'Before enlightenment he gathered wood and carried water; after enlightenment he gathered wood and carried water.'
Enlightenment- can we really find it?
Is there really a moment where we wake up and see everything anew? Everything fresh?
Is there the moment when the world finally makes sense, and we can say “now I understand?”
This is something I have always wondered.
At times I have thought that I have had such moments.
That all in the world had, for a mere second, become real and known.
It is then the moment slips away.
Is there true Enlightenment?
And if I find it will I still have to work in a factory afterwards?
